AFRICA - UGANDA / KENYA / TANZANIA Assignments included documenting AUS AID / RED CROSS initiatives, NGO operations throughout Nairobi slums, global reduction work on maternal mortality by AMREF, a wildlife conservation initiative, and remote travel throughout Uganda documenting post conflict development and child soldier rehabilitation. This last assignment included extensive travel throughout Uganda to interview child soldiers who, after years in captivity, had escaped Kony's Lord Resistance Army.  Our coverage takes an honest look at their post trauma, destitution  and tragic ostracization when returning home to families and villages they had once been ordered to destroy.
